My junior year, my junior prom! I have been anticipating for this night since last summer when I left the sophomore world. I didn't have a date so I brought two friends, Kyle and Jessi. Kyle looked like such a pimp bringing two girls to prom. This by itself was new and different but we did many other things that strayed from the traditional prom night.
We arrived to the Beeches Inn all red neck style in a Ford Pick-up truck. But we did not arrive fashionably late. We arrived fashionably early, a half hour early to be exact. There for we were able to be the first in line to get our picture taken. We decided to take it James Bond Style! Oh yea!
We then arrived at our dinner tables. The place was beautiful. Chandeliers, fancy but not too fancy. It was absolutely perfect. It was so much fun to see everyone in their tuxes and prom dresses looking handsome and beautiful.
The dinner was really nice too. We were waited on for the salad and bread then had a buffet for the actual dinner. They had Sherly Temples too! One of my faveorites!
At last it was time to dance. The dancing was crazy! The lights were blinding, the music was deafening and the floor was shaking! It was beyond awesome! A guy started crowd surfing, they played limbo with someone's tie, we created a dance circle and people were doing the worm! I loved it!
But one part of the night that took place on the dance floor will last with me forever. For I secretly requested the song, "I Won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz and asked Kyle to dance. We took a step on the dance floor as best friends and came off as a couple.
My friends were all cheesy about it but whatever. There was also a photo booth that we went in to take some fun pictures. The night was unforgettable!
My dad picked us up in his KIA Soul or Lunchbox as we call it and he chauffeured us to Wally World! It was pretty funny walking in and getting all the stares from the late night shoppers. One of the employees saw Kyle walking with Jessi and I and said, "Yea man, you're doing it right!" Poor Kyle looked like such a pimp! But I think he secretly loved it.
We goofed off a lot in the toy section having foam sword fights and trying on the superhero masks. We're 8 year olds at heart, what can I say? We also bought some snacks for when we got home because we all knew we were not sleeping. We bought Sour Patch Octopus, Reese's and Powdered Donuts for Jessi. We were also able to find Cocoa-Cola in the classic glass bottles so we really had to get those. Soda just always tastes better in glass for some reason. Along the way we also happened to run into my cousin, Chris! He was cracking a few friendly jokes at us.
It was literally one of the best nights of my life so far. I <3 PROM!

Keep in Touch: Peter Hollens
Acapella music has been getting more popular recently, especially one man/woman acapella pieces. There have been various videos on You Tube of talented singers performing an acapella piece by themselves. A very popular and extremley talented one is Peter Hollens. Sometimes at the ends of his videos he'll show you how he put all of the different singing parts together to create a beautiful music piece. He also will sometimes sing with his wife, Evynne Hollens. The two of them sound marvelous together. It's all deffinatly a lot of ear candy.

May the Fourth be With You
May 4th is the official Star Wars Day. Unofficial actually. A holiday created by fans, such as myself. It's created on May the 4th because we Star Wars fans love our puns. May the fourth be with you (may the force be with you... get it?) Ha-ha punny... sigh, I have no life.
This holiday is basically a day for Star Wars fans to remember and reminisce in the creation of Star Wars. A day to geek out and bring light sabers to school and do Princess Leia inspired hair styles.
Ironically enough there is an actual Star Wars Day made by the Los Angeles City Council on May 25th because that was the day "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" was released in 1977.
So in celebration of this day I found some amazing art made by Bjorn Hurri. The famous Star Wars characters in Steam punk fashion! I also have a cool, nerdy song about Star Wars by Jason Munday and the Star Wars Tag. So please sit back with your light saber and enjoy the Star Wars epicness.
May the force be with you!
Princess Leia
Luke Skywalker
Stormtrooper
Chewbacca
Jabba the Hut
Han Solo
3CPO
Boba Fett
Yoda

Lyrics to Remember: Norah Jones-Happy Pills
The Situation:
So you've go this ex-boyfriend. He broke up with you, wanted you gone and was more than extatic he was single again. He treated you like crap when you gave all your love and all you want to do is forget him. You've moved on in life, happy with friends or maybe moving on to someone else and he's starting to come back. He tries to befriend you once more but all you want is for him to go away so you don't have to waste your time with him again and keep living your new, happy life.
Happy Pills
Trying to pick up the pace
Trying to make it so I never see your face again
Trying to throw this away
Want to make sure that you never waste my time again
How does it feel?
Oh how does it feel to be you right now, dear?
You brought this upon
So pick up your pace and go away from here
Please just let me go now.
Please just let me go
Would you please just let me go now?
Please just let me go
I’m going to get you
I’m going to get you
I’m going to get you out of my head - get out
I’m going to get you.
I’m going to get you.
I’ve gotta get you out of my head - get out.
Never said we’d be friends,
Trying to keep myself away from you,
‘Cause you’re bad, bad news.
With you gone, I’m alive,
Makes me feel like I took happy pills,
And time stands still.
How does it feel?
Oh how does it feel to be the one shut out?
You broke all the rules.
I won’t be a fool for you no more my dear.
Please just let me go now.
Please just let me go.
Would you please just let me go now?
Please just let me go.
I’m going to get you.
I’m going to get you.
I’m going to get you out of my head - get out.
I’m going to get you.
I’m going to get you.
I’ve gotta get you out of my head - get out.

Syracuse on the Weekend
My dad's girlfriend had to attend duties at a baby shower in Syracuse this weekend and needed a ride. So instead of making two trips to come and get her we decided to stay in Syracuse and see what we could do.
We came across the State Fair grounds and saw they had three attractions go on. The first we went to was an Irish Festival. Not really an Irish Festival actually, more like an Irish Step Dance National Competition with small venders. None the less it was really cool. I was able to watch the dancers and pick up on some Step Dance moves that I've never tried before. Irish Step Dancing has always come easily to me, especially when the Irish fiddle starts playing I can't help but to bust some moves.
I also bought a Cladagh ring there. It was kind of funny when the woman didn't know which way to put it on.
It's a tradition that if your heart is "taken" then you wear the ring with the heart facing inwards. If your heart is "not taken" then you wear it with the heart facing outwards. "I'm single" I said with a laugh then she put it on facing inwards. If you are new to this whole Irish and Claddagh ring stuff, let me give you a little background history.
The story of the Cladagh ring really is romantic. Long ago a young man was captured and sold into slavery from the fishing village of Claddagh. Many years passed and he wondered if his true love would wait for him. Over the years he stole tiny bits of gold from his master to make her a ring. He fashioned a heart for love, a crown for loyalty and hands as a symbol of friendship. After many years he finally returned home to Claddagh. Upon his return and to his joy he discovered his true love had waited for him. He gave her the ring as a symbol of their love, loyalty and friendship forever known now as the Claddagh. So now when someone steals my heart I'll flip the ring around in our relationship of love, loyalty and friendship.
After the Irish Festival we visited a craft fair. It was lots of fun to see all of the new ideas that people sold. I think one of my favorites had to have been the burning rock. A man would take these rocks and place an oil candle beneath it then drill a hole in the rock and let the flame come out above. It was really a creative idea. Now after that we went to an RV show. My dad was explaining how he might get an RV. I was so excited to hear this because that meant we might go camping soon! He was looking for a used bus style, diesel RV. We saw a few but my favorite was probably the most expensive, of course. The others just had this non tasteful pastel fabric that was just a little hard to look at. I tend to enjoy the warm colors more but dad must get something with in his price range. I am aware.
We started to get hungry so we went over to the Caracole Mall and found ourselves comfortable in Johnny Rockets. It's one of my favorite restaurants. It's themed for the 50's and is tons of fun. I also remember eating there last year on my sixteenth birthday and the employees, dressed in 50's restaurant wear, came out and danced for me while singing happy birthday and handed me a delicious chocolate milkshake. It was a memory I won't forget. Not only that but their food is so yummy!
I also happened to see a vlogger or video blogger in our midst. I could tell he was by the way he was taking the video. I watch tons of vloggers on youtube and it was cool seeing one in person. I think I might like to vlog if I receive the right equipment. I think I've got the personality for it, wink wink.
Eventually our adventure had to come to an end but it wasn't all over for me! I went to sleepover my best friend, Jessi's house. We did each others hair and makeup before our best guy friend, Kyle came over. He's probably the only guy in our group of friends that has seen what Jessi and I do at sleepovers. We greeted him at the door with our makeup and hair done and he laughed at the thought that we get all dressed up to go in the basement and ruin it from dancing.
We all piled down in the basement to have grape soda, M&M's and play Zumba and Just Dance 3. It was so much fun to see how Jessi completely creamed both Kyle and I. I think my favorite dance was probably, Forget You by Ceelo Green. But when I saw they had This is Halloween from The Nightmare Before Christmas Jessi and I flipped out and just had to dance to it! Even though it was pretty difficult. At the end Jessi and I sat on Kyle in the large comfy chair and complained about how gross and sweaty we were then played around with the Mii characters. We had some pretty interesting creations. But all and all it was a fantastic Saturday evening!

Keep in Touch: Devin Grahm
Not many people know that there is a different generation of youtubers that exist. Usually there are singers/musicians, comedians or vloggers. But not many people know about the film making generation. These film makers splurge on video equipment to get the perfect picture and are highly skilled in editing. They capture the world through the viewer’s eyes in what some may call a magical way. All this simply done by great interaction with the people they are filming, fantastic camera equipment, editing with music, and skill in finding the best captures. Devin Grahm, or DevinSuperTramp, is one of these people from the film making generation. I follow both of his channels. His regular channel where all the videos are posted and his second channel where he shows the behind the scenes work. The thing I love about his second channel is that it shows you film making is not as easy as it looks. Film making really is a job and if you are a film maker your self or you want to be one, he gives you some tricks and tips on how to make the best picture. For example, when he made his film of the children in Africa he learned how to say smile or teeth in the African language to get these kids comfortable and to capture them with the best smiles you will ever see. Film making really is a lot of work and Devin does it beautifully.

Lyrics to Remember: The Cab-La La
The Situation:
You were in a relationship. A short one to be exact. You ended up dating them through rebound and broke up with them because of this. But now it's been months. Over those months you have stayed friends and slowly became best friends. You now know this person better than you did when you first dated. You start to realize how perfect they were and you let all of that go. You still love them. But you still want to take things slow because by doing that things have been great so far. And you can't help but wonder, what would they do if you told them you loved them?
The Lyrics:
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oooh [x2]
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oooh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oooh
Come feel my heart
It’s beating like a drum and I confess
When you’re around
It’s like an army’s marching through my chest
And there’s nothing I can do
I just gravitate towards you
You’re pulling on me like the moon
I just wanna get you sideways
I say anything I can to get me more than just a dance
Tell me where to put my hands
You know that you could be my favorite one-night stand
You get me higher
What would you do if I told you that I la, la, la, la, loved you?
Do if I said it tonight?
What would you do if I told you that I la, la, la, la, loved you?
Cause you know I la, la, la, lie
You’re like a song
A beautiful symphony to my eyes
So take me on
I wanna sing along all through the night
I’m not like the other boys
Cause with you I’ve got no choice
You make me wanna lose my voice
I just wanna get you sideways
No, I’m not the type to lie
But I might just start tonight
Let me turn off all these lights
You know that you could be my favourite lullaby
You get me higher
What would you do if I told you that I la, la, la, la, loved you?
Do If I said it tonight?
What would you do if I told you that I la, la, la, la, loved you?
Cause you know I la, la, la, lie
Like a symphony
Like a symphony
Like a symphony tonight
Like a symphony
Like a symphony
Like a symphony tonight
Sounds like a symphony
Like a symphony
Like a symphony tonight
Like a symphony
